Hi, My Name is Jenny, and I’m Addicted to Sweaters

They’re just so pretty…

For those of you who don’t feel like counting, there are 24 sweaters in this picture. And these are just my spring/summer appropriate sweaters. There’s at least another ten that are in the storage bin in the closet for fall/winter, and a few are in the laundry basket.

I may have a problem.

But here’s the thing: I look really good in sweaters. They work for me. And so what if I have a lot of them? They’re all different. Cardigans, pullovers, sweaters with embellishment, cowl necks, cable knits, cotton, wool, linen, short sleeved, long sleeved, 3/4 sleeved, sweater vests… I am prepared for almost every sweater-clad occasion that could arise. So why should I apologize for having a lot of sweaters? And if you think about it, whenever I buy a new sweater, I’m supporting the American economy. That makes my addiction patriotic, and me a patriot. Bam. Lawyered.

And if you really think about it, I could be addicted to far more expensive and dangerous things than adorable cardigans. Have you ever seen that show “My Strange Addiction”? I never have because the teasers are enough to terrify me. That one girl from the first season eats laundry detergent. Laundry detergent!! Another girl snorts baby powder, and some guy is in an intimate (yes, that kind of intimate) relationship with his car. Really puts things into perspective, doesn’t it?

Alright, now that I’ve put things into perspective, I don’t really have an addiction. Just a lot of cute, colorful sweaters 🙂

  1. This may out me as a wierdo but I once stumbled across the instructions for being intimate with an automobile and it reduced me to tears at my office desk. Holding in laughter so no one asks what you were up to is impossible in that situation.

  2. I think you probably have room for a lot more sweaters in there. Nice folding job.

Don’t forget, you are also supporting the economy of the Philippines.
